The band was formed in 2001 and are always in great demand and play to packed houses wherever they appear.
Taking their name from their legendary rendition of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Freebird”. They are reputably one of the best rock covers bands in the North West, featuring classics from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cream, Free, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, John Mayall, Gary Moore, Fleetwood Mac, Santana, ZZ Top, Jethro Tull, Rory Gallagher and George Thoroughgood. All done with Freebird's own unique flair.
They have been show stoppers at many of their gigs delighting audiences with their sensational rock rifts, playing at Colne Blues Festival, Skegness 'Rock n Blues' weekend January 08 and various other local festivals and rallies.
